MA : A good designer can create visually appealing designs, but a great designer goes beyond that. They have a unique vision and a boundless creativity that sets them apart. What distinguishes a great designer from a good one is their attention to detail and the ability to solve complex design challenges. They don't just create for the sake of aesthetics; they design with the user in mind, ensuring that their creations are intuitive and meaningful. For me, being a great designer means constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible. It's about being versatile and adaptable, willing to take on different design projects and embrace new technologies. I believe that continuous learning is key to becoming a great designer. I strive to stay updated with the latest design trends and seek out opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge. But what truly separates a great designer is their ability to make a lasting impact. They inspire and influence others in the design community, leaving a legacy that extends beyond individual projects. It's not just about creating beautiful designs; it's about creating designs that make a difference. In summary, the distinction between a good designer and a great designer lies in having a unique vision, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, a user-centric approach, versatility, continuous learning, and the ability to leave a lasting impact. As a designer, I aspire to embody these qualities and continually strive for greatness in my work.
MA : To me, a good design becomes truly exceptional when it meets certain criteria and evokes a deep sense of satisfaction within me. It goes beyond external validation or recognition from others. Success, for me, lies in the intimate connection I have with my design and the fulfillment I experience when it meets my own expectations. One crucial aspect that contributes to the success of a design is the level of challenge it presents. When I push the boundaries of my creativity, explore new concepts, and question traditional norms, I feel a sense of growth and accomplishment. It's about constantly challenging myself and experimenting with unconventional approaches to design. Moreover, success is achieved when I reach a point of contentment with the design. It's that moment when I step back, observe the final outcome, and feel a deep sense of satisfaction and resonance. It's the culmination of rigorous iterations, refinements, and aligning the design with the essence of my vision. When I can confidently say that the design is ready, I consider it a personal triumph. For me, the realization of success doesn't solely rely on external factors such as commercial acclaim or widespread popularity. While recognition from others can be gratifying, the ultimate measure of success lies within myself. It's the feeling of contentment and the personal fulfillment I experience that become the yardstick by which I measure success. In summary, a good design is successful when it has been challenged enough, when I have pushed myself creatively, and when I am satisfied that it is ready for the world. The feeling of contentment and the personal fulfillment I experience become the essence of success. External validation may come, but the true measure of success lies in the realization and satisfaction of my own creative vision.

MA : If I had the time, I would be thrilled to design furniture that not only serves its functional purpose but also has a positive impact on the environment. One of my aspirations is to create products that, at the end of their lifecycle, can be recycled and transformed into new items of furniture. Imagine a bed that, instead of ending up in a landfill, can be repurposed into another piece of furniture, reducing waste and extending its lifespan. Furthermore, I am inspired by the idea of designing furniture that can contribute to environmental restoration. At the same time, I remain determined and persistent, overcoming challenges and pushing the boundaries of my creativity. By combining balance and determination, I strive to create designs that harmoniously blend form and function, leaving a lasting impact.
MA : I find inspiration from everyday people and the simplest objects that surround us. It's not necessarily the renowned design masters or legends that inspire me, but rather the faceless creatives who have crafted the most simplistic yet thoughtful products. From a salt shaker to the form of a toothbrush or the headlights of a car, these everyday items embody great design principles. They are the unsung heroes, often overlooked but incredibly inspiring in their attention to detail and functionality. It's in these small things that I discover a wealth of inspiration and appreciation for the thought and effort put into their creation.
MA : As a designer, I find myself drawn to the beauty and ingenuity of everyday objects. It's not easy to pinpoint specific favorite designs, as there are countless creations that capture my admiration. However, I am particularly fond of designs that embody simplicity, functionality, and thoughtful craftsmanship. It's the salt shaker that fits perfectly in your hand, the toothbrush with an ergonomically designed handle, or the sleek headlights on a car that enhance both aesthetics and visibility. These designs may not receive widespread recognition, but they reflect the expertise and attention to detail of their creators. I appreciate the way these designs seamlessly integrate into our lives, enhancing our daily experiences. It's a reminder that great design can be found in the most seemingly mundane objects, and that even the smallest details can make a significant impact.
MA : Design, like emotions, can vary and evolve depending on various factors and personal experiences. It's difficult to single out one specific design as the "greatest" because different aspects of designs can resonate with me at different times. I may appreciate a particular corner or section of a design, but my overall perception and attachment to a design can change over time. Design is a subjective and dynamic field, and what may be considered great today may be surpassed or evolve in the future. Therefore, I find it challenging to label any one design as the greatest, as it's the collective journey and continuous exploration of design that truly captivates me.

MA : As a designer, I have developed my skills through a continuous commitment to learning and honing my craft. I believe in the power of knowledge and the importance of staying curious and open-minded. Here are some key ways I have worked on developing my skills: 1. Reading: I am an avid reader and have delved into various design books, articles, and resources. By studying the works of influential designers, learning about design principles and theories, and exploring different design disciplines, I have gained valuable insights and expanded my knowledge base. 2. Collaborating and exchanging ideas with other designers has been instrumental in my growth and has exposed me to different perspectives and approaches. 3. Research and observation: I believe in the power of research and observation as essential components of the design process. By studying user behavior, market trends, and emerging technologies, I stay informed and make informed design decisions. I also draw inspiration from the world around me, observing nature, architecture, art, and everyday objects for ideas and insights. 4. Continuous practice: Like any skill, design requires practice to improve and refine. I consistently challenge myself by taking on diverse design projects, experimenting with new techniques and styles, and pushing the boundaries of my creativity. Through practice, I have honed my technical skills and developed my own unique design approach. 5. Embracing feedback: I actively seek feedback from clients, colleagues, and users to gain different perspectives and improve my designs. MA : If I could transcend time and space, one person I would love to meet, talk, and discuss with is Leonardo da Vinci. He is a true genius who excelled in multiple fields, including art, science, engineering, and invention. His remarkable creativity, curiosity, and interdisciplinary approach to knowledge have made him an icon in the world of design and innovation. I would be fascinated to have a conversation with Leonardo da Vinci to gain insights into his thought process, creative methods, and his perspective on the intersection of art and science. I would love to discuss his famous artworks, such as the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, and understand the inspiration and techniques behind them. Additionally, exploring his engineering and invention concepts, such as flying machines and innovative machines, would be truly inspiring. Leonardo da Vinci's ability to bridge different disciplines and push the boundaries of knowledge resonates with me as a designer. Learning from his wisdom and experiences would be an incredible opportunity to broaden my own creative horizons and deepen my understanding of the design process. Overall, meeting and engaging in a conversation with Leonardo da Vinci would be an extraordinary encounter, offering a unique chance to connect with one of history's greatest minds and gain invaluable insights into the realms of art, science, and design.
MA : I understand that being recognized and receiving awards for one's work can be an incredible achievement and a source of pride. While I appreciate the recognition and accolades I have received, I don't view myself as being famous. Design is a field where the focus is often on the work itself rather than the individual behind it. That being said, I do feel a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities and recognition I have received throughout my career. It's a humbling experience to have my work acknowledged and appreciated by others in the industry. It serves as validation and encouragement to continue pushing the boundaries of design and creating meaningful experiences. Ultimately, I am grateful for the recognition I have received, as it highlights the impact my work has had and motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries of design. However, my focus remains on the design itself and the positive impact it can have on people's lives, rather than seeking fame or recognition.
MA : As a designer, it's natural to appreciate and find inspiration in a wide range of colors, places, foods, seasons, things, and brands. With such a diverse palette of experiences and preferences, it can be challenging to narrow it down to just one favorite in each category. Design is about embracing variety and exploring different possibilities, so having multiple favorites is perfectly valid. It's this rich tapestry of influences that contributes to the depth and uniqueness of our creative perspectives.
MA : During my early days at my first job after university, I found myself in a rather amusing and slightly embarrassing situation. I was invited to attend a prestigious furniture show in Milan, which was an exciting opportunity for me to immerse myself in the world of design and draw inspiration from renowned designers. Arriving at the show, brimming with enthusiasm and a desire to make a good impression, I was approached by my managing director. He asked if I had the ability to sketch furniture, and without a moment's hesitation, I confidently replied, "Of course!" Eager to showcase my skills, I quickly settled onto a comfortable seat, took out my trusty sketchbook, and began meticulously sketching the design of the sofa right in front of me. With great focus and attention to detail, I captured every curve and nuance, oblivious to the gathering crowd. To my surprise, a small group of people started to gather around me, their curious gazes fixated on my sketching endeavour. At that moment, I relished the attention, feeling proud of my work. However, it wasn't long before I realised what i did. The people surrounding me were not my colleagues or fellow designers; they were the sales team of the company showcasing their own products. The realisation hit me when the Italian sales leader approached me, clearly puzzled by my actions. He kindly asked what I was doing, and with unwavering confidence, I replied, "I'm sketching this sofa for my boss." His response was a gentle reminder that perhaps it wasn't polite to copy someone else's designs. My jaw dropped as I suddenly understood the situation. Their bemused expressions and laughter made it evident that I had unwittingly become the center of an amusing Joke.
MA : As a designer, what makes my day great is the feeling of creative flow and accomplishment. When I can immerse myself in a design project, overcome challenges, and see my ideas come to life, it brings a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. The positive feedback and appreciation from clients and users also serve as motivation and validation of my work. To stay motivated, I believe in cultivating a healthy work-life balance. Taking breaks, engaging in activities outside of design, and nurturing personal interests help rejuvenate my creativity. I also seek inspiration from various sources, such as art, nature, architecture, and other design disciplines. Surrounding myself with a supportive network of fellow designers and seeking constructive feedback also keeps me motivated and eager to improve. Ultimately, the passion and love for design itself serve as the driving force behind my motivation. The ability to create something meaningful, solve problems, and make a positive impact through design is what fuels my enthusiasm and keeps me motivated every day.
MA : As a child, it's hard to predict the future and determine what path one will ultimately take. While I displayed a natural inclination towards creativity and design, it wasn't immediately clear that I would become a great designer. It was through exploration, learning, and honing my skills over time that I was able to cultivate my passion for design and excel in the field.
MA : Looking thousands of years into the future is an exercise in imagination and speculation. It's difficult to predict with certainty what the world will be like in such a distant timeframe. However, I believe that human beings will continue to strive for progress and innovation. In the future, I envision a world where technology has advanced beyond our wildest dreams. We might witness breakthroughs in fields like artificial intelligence, space exploration, and renewable energy. These advancements could transform the way we live, work, and interact with our environment. I also hope that the future will bring about positive changes in society. We have made great strides in promoting equality and embracing diversity, and I believe these efforts will continue. The world may become more interconnected, fostering a global community that values collaboration, understanding, and compassion. While it's challenging to predict the specifics, I remain hopeful and motivated by the idea of a future that is marked by progress, sustainability, and a shared sense of purpose. It's exciting to think about the possibilities that lie ahead, and I am eager to see how future generations will shape the world.
