Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Baohua Xie ("BX") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

BX : Good design is not only pleasing to the eye but also can increase the commercial value

DL: What would you design and who would you design for if you had the time?

BX : Want to do a design for yourself, nothing to do business

DL: What is the dream project you haven’t yet had time to realize?

BX : This is too much

DL: What is your secret recipe of success in design, what is your secret ingredient?

BX : Effort and ultimate pursuit

DL: Who are some other design masters and legends you get inspired from?

BX : I think children are the best masters, their expression is real and creative.

DL: What are your favorite designs by other designers, why do you like them?

BX : Lamborghini and Siemens washing machine designer, I do not know the name, like their products angularly not made the temperament.

DL: What is your greatest design, which aspects of that design makes you think it is great?

BX : I still think it is TFboys, because he affected hundreds of millions of people

DL: How could people improve themselves to be better designers, what did you do?

DL: If you hadn’t become a designer, what would you have done?

BX : Did not become a designer, I would do illustrator

BX : Everyone is a designer, we are more focused on some

BX : I think it should be their pursuit of the perfect character so I have been engaged in the design work

DL: What were the obstacles you faced before becoming a design master?

BX : No visibility, there is no business.

BX : The best expression is graphics

BX : We are currently doing a world five hundred product design, is looking forward to.

BX : Design Changes Life, Art Change Thinking, as a designer, my motto is No matter how the times change, one thing that I only do is label the beauty for life.

DL: Do you think design sets the trends or trends set the designs?

BX : I do not think the design is going to follow the trend

BX : Technology is only for better expression, designer thinking is more important

BX : My team is my best partner

DL: Which people you interacted had the most influence on your design?

BX : I think everyone will have an impact on their own design, especially customers

DL: Which books you read had the most effect on your design?

BX : Trout's "positioning"

DL: How did you develop your skills as a master designer?

BX : I like to repeat the words of effort and the pursuit of the ultimate.

DL: How do you feel about all the awards and recognition you had, is it hard to be famous?

BX : This is my first time to participate in international competitions, their performance is not very satisfied!

DL: What is your favorite color, place, food, season, thing and brand?

BX : Like black and white ash, China Yunnan and Scandinavia, seafood, autumn, like many brands!

DL: Please tell us a little memoir, a funny thing you had experienced as a designer?

BX : when i was a child , I was fight with my older sister ,i can not write, use graphics to vent, such as painting two villains fight, an injury!

DL: What makes your day great as a designer, how do you motivate yourself?

BX : One day in the street to see a very beautiful advertising picture fell in love with the design.

DL: When you were a little child, was it obvious that you would become a great designer?

BX : Childhood, I dream of being a great painter, then do not know what a designer.

DL: What do you think about future; what do you see will happen in thousand years from now?

BX : I do not want the robot to replace the designer, because the design is a perceptual work, a thousand years later JJ celebrated a good listen!
