Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Hamidreza Khademi and Mina G.Jahromi ("HKAMG") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

HKAMG : Master’s in Architecture from Iowa State University and a Master’s in Architecture, Construction, and City from Politecnico di Torino.

DL: What motivates you to design in general, why did you become a designer?

HKAMG : Passion for creating spaces that impact human emotions positively.

DL: Did you choose to become a designer, or you were forced to become one?

HKAMG : I chose to become a designer driven by my passion.

DL: What do you design, what type of designs do you wish to design more of?

HKAMG : I design sustainable and biophilic spaces. I wish to design more eco-friendly urban workspaces.

DL: What should young designers do to become a design legend like you?

HKAMG : Stay curious, continuously learn, and embrace feedback.

DL: What distinguishes between a good designer and a great designer?

HKAMG : A great designer innovates while balancing functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics.

DL: What makes a good design a really good design, how do you evaluate good design?

HKAMG : A good design meets user needs, integrates well with its environment, and is sustainable.

DL: What is the value of good design? Why should everyone invest in good design?

HKAMG : Good design enhances quality of life, promotes well-being, and is sustainable.

DL: What would you design and who would you design for if you had the time?

HKAMG : A fully sustainable urban workspace for innovative tech companies.

DL: What is the dream project you haven’t yet had time to realize?

HKAMG : Designing a self-sustaining, biophilic community center.

DL: What is your secret recipe of success in design, what is your secret ingredient?

HKAMG : Balancing innovation with functionality and sustainability.

HKAMG : Probably a landscape architect due to my love for nature.

DL: What is the role of technology when you design?

HKAMG : Essential for visualization, modeling, and optimizing design solutions.

DL: What kind of design software and equipment do you use in your work?

HKAMG : Autodesk Revit, Lumion, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite​​.

HKAMG : I am grateful and motivated to continue innovating and contributing to the field.

DL: What is your favorite color, place, food, season, thing and brand?

HKAMG : Green, Italy, Italian cuisine, spring, sketchbook, and Autodesk.

DL: Please tell us a little memoir, a funny thing you had experienced as a designer?

HKAMG : I accidentally presented the wrong project during a client meeting, which led to a great brainstorming session.

DL: What makes your day great as a designer, how do you motivate yourself?

HKAMG : I am seeing a design come to life and positively impact users.

DL: When you were a little child, was it obvious that you would become a great designer?

HKAMG : I always enjoyed drawing and creating, so it was a natural progression.

DL: What do you think about future; what do you see will happen in thousand years from now?

HKAMG : Design will be more integrated with technology, and sustainability will be paramount.
