Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Langcer Lee ("LL") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

LL : I graduated from Tianjin University of science and technology, majoring in science and Engineering Self study design for 10 years because of love for design

DL: What motivates you to design in general, why did you become a designer?

LL : Heartfelt love

DL: Did you choose to become a designer, or you were forced to become one?

LL : Being in a passion for design and actively choosing to become a designer

DL: What do you design, what type of designs do you wish to design more of?

LL : My favorite thing is packaging design. Packaging design is a very interesting thing. You need to design a packaging that consumers are willing to use, collect, and are willing to buy repeatedly. I try to make my packaging unique, most of the time it will make it more interesting.

DL: What distinguishes between a good designer and a great designer?

LL : Different design styles and different emphases of design.

DL: What makes a good design a really good design, how do you evaluate good design?

LL : For a packaging design, artistry is not absolute. As a package, it not only needs to be beautiful, but also to be accepted by consumers, so that the goods are liked by the public. Make people willing to buy it.

DL: What is the value of good design? Why should everyone invest in good design?

LL : A good design can not only sell the product well, but also give consumers a deep impression of the brand of the product and form an intangible asset.

DL: What would you design and who would you design for if you had the time?

LL : Will design wine

DL: What is your secret recipe of success in design, what is your secret ingredient?

LL : Love the design from the heart, always maintain the desire to create

DL: Who are some other design masters and legends you get inspired from?

LL : Steve Jobs

DL: If you hadn’t become a designer, what would you have done?

LL : Never thought about it

DL: Who helped you to reach these heights, who was your biggest supporter?

LL : My family, they always support me

DL: What helped you to become a great designer?

LL : Actions that never give up and attachment to the realization of self-worth

DL: What were the obstacles you faced before becoming a design master?

LL : I have never studied design, can't draw by hand, and design software can't be used

DL: What’s your next design project, what should we expect from you in future?

LL : Still packaging design Make the beauty more perfect, make the function more convenient
