Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer GIACINTO FABA ("GF") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.
GF : From an early age I made my first project on a motor boat made of wood thanks to the help of my father who had a carpentry shop. Growing up, I was able to get in touch with many construction artisans and in me the passion for this world that I have always had inside has fully blossomed.
GF : It is an activity that fascinates me and I am attracted by the idea of looking for new forms, finding the harmony between the materials, creating new and functional things.
GF : I chose to become one.
GF : I design everything, I prefer to design residential and tourist accommodation.
GF : I don't consider myself a legend of design, but I think that young people should study and do a lot of research.
GF : The distinction lies in the capabilities, in the car, in the thickness of one with respect to the other.
GF : The sum of several factors: form, contents, colors.
GF : The value lies in the project and its intrinsic nature. Investing in design is always positive and it's nice to surround yourself with design objects.
GF : There are several masters of design, I will mention a few. Fred Loyd Wright, Mies Van Der Rohe, Carlo Scarpa, Saarinen, Starck.
GF : My favorite designs are the arch of Castiglioni, the juicer of Starck, the chaiselongue by Le Corbusier.
GF : To improve, you need to invest in yourself, study different topics, study and do research.
GF : I don't know. I never asked myself this question.
GF : Nobody helped me.
GF : Passion, initiative, determination to achieve certain results.
GF : First we need to show the idea with the pre-school studies and then use render and photorealistic images.
GF : They expect a lot.
GF : I'm working on other projects, including a restaurant and a hotel renovation.
GF : To create increasingly sophisticated forms.
GF : It takes a lot of time.
GF : We hope it is realized.
GF : The usual dilemma. I think the trends set the projects.
GF : The role of technology is important but it also depends on the type of project.
GF : Using Autocad and Rhinoceros.
GF : They have a fundamental role and are well connected to the initial idea.
GF : Everything.
GF : I think of the whole creative process behind it and the time spent on the work.
GF : Collaboration is important for the best possible outcome of the work.
GF : Regarding the awards and recognitions I received, I feel excited and proud.
GF : My favorite color is red, the favorite place is the sea, I really like pasta and pizza, I love summer, I'm tied to my car and my favorite brand is Audi.
GF : When I was little I made a small motor boat. Seeing the little boat in the water and governing it from a distance filled my heart with joy.
GF : I don't know.
