Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Seyedeh Ayeh Mirrezaei ("SAM") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: What is your life motto as a designer?

SAM : Never Give Up

DL: Which books you read had the most effect on your design?

SAM : I’m so interested in reading books particularly historical books which reveals different cultures and civilization from ancient to contemporary era. Furthermore, ecological and poetic books also are my favorites. The books that have great effects on me, does not relate to architecture or design, but help me a lot to see the world in a deeper look for every stage of my life and also designing and each time that I read them they give me a new thing to learn. They are theTao Te Ching by Laozi, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and Hasht ketab by Sohrab Sepehri.

DL: Irrelative of time and space, who you would want to meet, talk and discuss with?

SAM : Honestly, there are many names in my mind that I really want to talk with them but If I want to say some of them I would like to talk with Santiago Calatrava Valls (Spanish architect), Daniel Libeskind (Polish-American architect), Kengo Kuma (Japanese architect) and Ken Yeang (Malaysian architect) that I really admire their designs. If Dame Zaha Hadid , Frank Lloyd Wright, Antoni gaudí ,Leonardo da Vinci and Shaykh Baha' al-Din (one of the great Iranian architects) were alive, they were also my favorites to talk.
