LEGENDARY INTERVIEW

Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Yueh-Huang Liao ("YL") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

YL : My college major is interior design. The background of team professor is architectural, so during the school started my landscape, architecture and interior design of high interest. After graduation, I have worked in the construction and interior design company, due to personal passion of art and culture, I has also been engaged in the arts and cultural industry managers. In 2005 founded the "KeyStone design company", through the company type to communicate he concept of human design with more customers. Since then, in order to companies have a broader vision and growth , I admitted to the "Taiwan National University of Science and Technology EMBA School of Management" training management research courses in 2016.

DL: What do you design, what type of designs do you wish to design more of?

YL : At present, I am engaged in the construction and interior design, but the design of the manor type is very attractive to me, because the environmental relationship between manor design and the building, like the landscape, tree planting, garden configuration, these natural elements. And then integrated with the interior environment, creating a different manor style and lifestyle, I have always wanted to try more design type.

DL: What is your life motto as a designer?

YL : As a designer, I think life experience and depth of observation are the most important essential elements. So "live in the moment, look to the future" is my attitude to life, but also my motto.

DL: When you see a new great design or product what comes into your mind?

YL : When I see the new excellent works, in addition to joy and praise, you will want to understand and learn the connotation and the story of these refreshing excellent works.
