Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Ajay Choudhary ("AC") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Did you choose to become a designer, or you were forced to become one?

AC : I had convince my parents a lot to let me pursue my dream to become a designer.

DL: What should young designers do to become a design legend like you?

AC : Be more open-minded and enjoy the fact we get the chance to design.

DL: What distinguishes between a good designer and a great designer?

AC : Consistency is the key for design.

DL: What is the value of good design? Why should everyone invest in good design?

AC : A good design is more sustainable since more people will use it and preserve it. That's why companies must invest in good design.

DL: What would you design and who would you design for if you had the time?

AC : I would like to design for Google car. I think autonomous cars provide us so opportunity to refine the future of transportation design.

DL: What is your secret recipe of success in design, what is your secret ingredient?

AC : Suspend judgement. I usual let design ideas or concept cook in my head for long time before pursuing one.

DL: If you hadn’t become a designer, what would you have done?

AC : I would been a chef or restaurant owner.

DL: Who helped you to reach these heights, who was your biggest supporter?

AC : My parents , wife and friends. My friends have played important role in shaping me as designer.

DL: What’s your next design project, what should we expect from you in future?

AC : I will working on simple design projects related to culinary or food design.

DL: What are you currently working on that you are especially excited about?

AC : Yes, I think space of personal and alternate mobility is relatively unexplored. For creating new future this directions must be explored

DL: Where do you think the design field is headed next?

AC : Its in good direction. Designer are now involved in every aspect of design.

DL: What is your life motto as a designer?

AC : Designing for good life

DL: What is the role of technology when you design?

AC : Technology is major aspect of design now-a-days. I like integrate technology to add smartness and intelligence to the products.

DL: When you see a new great design or product what comes into your mind?

AC : Need to have one. Must promote it

DL: Which books you read had the most effect on your design?

AC : Design by change and creative intelligence both this books have a lot of impact on me.

DL: How do you feel about all the awards and recognition you had, is it hard to be famous?

AC : I am glad for the recognition and consider also little lucky to be in this position.

DL: What makes your day great as a designer, how do you motivate yourself?

AC : I have action plans for my work every-day. Once i achieve them it motivates me for another day.

DL: When you were a little child, was it obvious that you would become a great designer?

AC : Yes, I was dreamer. Great or not that time will tell but surely good designer that's what i am for

DL: What do you think about future; what do you see will happen in thousand years from now?

AC : Design will become integral part of things around us. Our world will be filled digital intelligence and autonomous gadgets.
