Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Wei En Wayne Lin ("WEWL") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

WEWL : I was graduated major interior design from Birth Columbia Institution Technology, Vancouver, Canada.

DL: What motivates you to design in general, why did you become a designer?

WEWL : Design is small force, but critical. It is the make our environment to a better place to live not physically but also mentally.

DL: Did you choose to become a designer, or you were forced to become one?

WEWL : I believe that everyone in the world are designers because design is not visual aesthetically. It could be a in life style such planing our schedule is one kind of design or cooking is one kind. so that Design is about what is your passion or dwelling one thing, that you could put all your heart to work with.

DL: What do you design, what type of designs do you wish to design more of?

WEWL : My design is mostly focus on Space. To Define the Space is more likely environment between interior ,exterior and landscape. Considering they are one thing as a space designer.

DL: What should young designers do to become a design legend like you?

WEWL : Love what you Love. To feel the world, environment, space, a table , lastly, a spoon.

DL: What distinguishes between a good designer and a great designer?

WEWL : greet designer understand human nature and respect nature been.

DL: What makes a good design a really good design, how do you evaluate good design?

WEWL : Good design consider Balance between functionality and aesthetic.

DL: What is the value of good design? Why should everyone invest in good design?

WEWL : value of design is you make a little change and its turning to more happiness.

DL: What would you design and who would you design for if you had the time?

WEWL : I would go funeral parlor, its our last stop in life journey, this space should let other who love you to really say goodbye to you.

DL: What is the dream project you haven’t yet had time to realize?

WEWL : Design a house in Mars

DL: What is your secret recipe of success in design, what is your secret ingredient?

WEWL : give up 100% of you.
