DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

EY : With a master's degree in MBA, I have a strong educational background in business and management. However, my interests and skills also lie in the field of design, particularly 3D jewelry design. I have been dedicated to expanding my knowledge and expertise in this area since 2018 when I started learning in Iran and later continued my studies in Turkey. As a testament to my passion and commitment, I am now a proud member of the prestigious World Design Consortium (WDC) and other notable clubs and associations such as AIBA, IAD, IBSP, ICCI, IDC, and ISPM. Furthermore, I have had the opportunity to showcase my designs in various international exhibitions, including MOOD in Italy, 40*40 in Poland, and exhibitions in China and India. As a jury member, I had the honor of reviewing and evaluating innovative projects and ideas that were submitted for the prestigious DOI Award 2024 competition in India. It was a challenging yet rewarding experience to help recognize and promote the most promising and impactful initiatives in the country. Being a part of the jury also gave me valuable insights into the current trends and advancements in various industries and sectors. These experiences have not only allowed me to gain recognition but have also broadened my perspective and creativity in the design industry.

EY : As a designer, it is crucial to do not only focus on my own ideas and preferences. I should take into account the needs and feedback of the users. A successful design is one that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and user friendly. Ultimately, the satisfaction of the end users is what truly matters in the success of a design.

DL: How does design help create a better society?

Ultimately, the purpose of a design should not solely be to generate profit, but to also make a meaningful impact. Working on such projects is enjoyable and satisfying for me.

Ultimately, the mindset of the designer plays a significant role in shaping the designs created.

DL: How long does it take you to finalize a design project?

EY : Some projects may require more work due to their complexity, while others may not need as much time to be finalized due to the simplicity of the design. It is important to carefully assess the requirements and scope of each project in order to determine the appropriate amount of time and resources needed. Additionally, external factors such as unexpected challenges or delays can also affect the timeline of a project.

DL: When you have a new design project, where do you start?

EY : The design process starts with an idea, at first I draw the idea I have in the mind as a rough sketch on paper, then I make the desired changes on it to make it the best. However, it is important to note that the design process is not always linear and changes may need to be made multiple times before reaching the final product. This is especially true when creating a design in 3D, as changes may need to be made again to ensure the final design meets all requirements and specifications.

EY : The quality of our life depends on our thoughts and worldview.

EY : I think both can be true because a designer has an influence on design with his mental tendency, on the other hand, the current process can affect the designer's mind and tendencies. However, the designer's influence may be limited by the constraints and requirements of the design project, whereas the external factors of the design process can heavily impact the designer's decisions and creativity. In the end, it is a combination of both internal and external factors that shape the final design outcome.

DL: What is the role of technology when you design?

Additionally, advancements in technology have led to the creation of various tools and software that can streamline tasks and make them easier to complete, ultimately improving overall productivity. However, technology can also have negative effects, such as job displacement and the potential for errors or malfunctions. It can also create a dependence on technology, leading to a loss of basic skills and independence. Additionally, the high costs of implementing and maintaining technology can put a strain on businesses and individuals.

DL: What kind of design software and equipment do you use in your work?

EY : Rhinoceros. Matrix. KeyShot and Photoshop software.

DL: What is the role of the color, materials and ambient in design?

EY : In design, the concept of space goes beyond just physical dimensions. It also encompasses the sensory and aesthetic elements that make up a design, such as color and material. These elements interact with each other to create a visually appealing and harmonious space. The colors and materials chosen can affect the way light reflects and adds depth to a space, ultimately enhancing its overall beauty.

The skills and techniques I have learned from books on teaching design and gemology have greatly enhanced my abilities as a designer and educator. Books have not only broadened my knowledge and understanding of various subjects, but they have also sparked my creativity and helped me develop new ideas and perspectives. By learning about the history of design and different cultures, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of diversity and inclusion in the design world. Overall, reading has been an invaluable tool for my personal and professional growth.

DL: How did you develop your skills as a master designer?

EY : I must continuously improve my skills and stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques. Additionally, constantly challenging myself and pushing my boundaries in design helps me to grow as a designer and achieve even greater success in my career.

DL: Irrelative of time and space, who you would want to meet, talk and discuss with?

EY : Meeting with founders of luxury jewelry brands like Tiffany, Harry Winston, Chopard, and David Yurman would be a dream come true for me. I am confident that the experiences and insights shared by these industry leaders will greatly benefit my future endeavors.

DL: How do you feel about all the awards and recognition you had, is it hard to be famous?

EY : The thrill of competing against others and the anticipation of finding out the results is what makes attending competitions so enjoyable for me. It pushes me to work harder and strive for excellence, as well as giving me the opportunity to meet and connect with like-minded individuals. The competitive environment also allows me to learn from others and improve my skills through constructive criticism and feedback. However, I also recognize that fame can also bring its own set of challenges and pressures. It can lead to a loss of privacy, an increase in public scrutiny, and a constant need to maintain a certain image. It can also create a sense of isolation and loneliness as people may become more interested in the fame rather than the person behind it. Therefore, while I enjoy the excitement and social benefits of fame, I also understand the potential drawbacks and strive to maintain a balance in my life.

DL: What is your favorite color, place, food, season, thing and brand?

EY : Whether it's a delicious meal, a good book, or a fun activity with loved ones, the things that bring joy and happiness into my life will always be my favorites. I believe that life is meant to be enjoyed, and anything that brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart will have a special place in my heart. As for a specific favorite, it's hard to choose just one as my favorites are constantly changing and evolving as I grow and experience new things.

DL: Please tell us a little memoir, a funny thing you had experienced as a designer?

EY : The first time I had a design order, they asked me to design a beautiful necklace using an oval shape. However, due to the stress of the customer's presence, I had forgotten what an oval shape looked like. In order to make sure I got the design right, I had to search for images of oval shapes on the Internet.

DL: What makes your day great as a designer, how do you motivate yourself?

Now, I am grateful for these early signs that have guided me towards my true calling.

DL: What do you think about future; what do you see will happen in thousand years from now?

EY : It is true that technology will continue to advance and change the world in ways we can't even imagine. However, it is important to remember that these advancements are driven by human ideas and innovation. We must be cautious and responsible in our use of technology, ensuring that it serves to improve the lives of humans rather than replace them. Quality and ethical considerations must also be prioritized to ensure the well-being and safety of individuals and society as a whole.

DL: Please tell us anything you wish your fans to know about you, your design and anything else?

EY : I truly believe in the power of concepts like altruism, peace, and tranquility, and I am always looking for ways to incorporate them into my work and plans.
