LEGENDARY INTERVIEW

Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Jianwu Zhang＆Tingbo Cai ("JZC") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

JZC : For more than a decade in the context of traditional Chinese culture, and receiving contemporary international trends in design information, the collision between the two has led us to multidimensional thinking about design.

DL: What do you design, what type of designs do you wish to design more of?

JZC : Space design has always been the direction of our design. We also hope to transform the historic interior space of buildings and design some of the diversified objects outside of space.

DL: What is the value of good design? Why should everyone invest in good design?

JZC : Good design can amplify the value of space itself, whether it be from aesthetics, vision, function, etc., especially in promoting the development of social aesthetics and experience.

DL: What is the dream project you haven’t yet had time to realize?

JZC : Based entirely on our own ideas, we are not limited by all parties and create our own space.

DL: What is your greatest design, which aspects of that design makes you think it is great?

JZC : Change and innovation, when a space makes most people feel that there is no way to break through, we use our own ideas to subvert the status quo and we feel very successful.

DL: How do you define design, what is design for you?

JZC : Creation is to make people live more freely. Wusun Space, adhering to the design concept of "creation for people, creation after people" , is committed to people-oriented space customization, and strives for building a spatial planning brand with philosophy.

DL: What were the obstacles you faced before becoming a design master?

JZC : More excellent design projects, and how to let more customers know the value of design, respect design and trust us.
