Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer mohammadreza ghaneei ("MG") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

MG : I studied at University Of Tehran, Farabi University, Urban design And Architectural University of paris

DL: What motivates you to design in general, why did you become a designer?

MG : passion for creation

DL: Did you choose to become a designer, or you were forced to become one?

MG : i made a choise , it can't be a force.

DL: What do you design, what type of designs do you wish to design more of?

MG : everything someone prefer or inspire to me.

DL: What should young designers do to become a design legend like you?

MG : passion for design, distance from trade.

DL: What distinguishes between a good designer and a great designer?

MG : love(feeling), discipline (intelligence).

DL: What is the value of good design? Why should everyone invest in good design?

MG : effective to develope the human culture.

DL: What is the dream project you haven’t yet had time to realize?

MG : The Reinvented of the Summer Palace of kharanaq

DL: What is your secret recipe of success in design, what is your secret ingredient?

MG : Being in love with designing, aim to make people happy.

DL: Who are some other design masters and legends you get inspired from?

MG : Renzo Piano after his poject named Pompidou Center And Tadao Ando

DL: What are your favorite designs by other designers, why do you like them?

MG : Renzo Piano.

DL: What is your greatest design, which aspects of that design makes you think it is great?

MG : All of them.

DL: How could people improve themselves to be better designers, what did you do?

MG : Imposing a lot of questions of all aspects about your own design.

DL: If you hadn’t become a designer, what would you have done?

MG : I would have definitly built something.

DL: How do you define design, what is design for you?

MG : Researching out for my dreams, dreams come true.

DL: Who helped you to reach these heights, who was your biggest supporter?

MG : Enjoy of Creation

DL: What helped you to become a great designer?

MG : Joy of dreaming and creation.

DL: What were the obstacles you faced before becoming a design master?

MG : unwise Client.

DL: How do you think designers should present their work?

MG : They should express the design on their mind.

DL: What’s your next design project, what should we expect from you in future?

MG : Influencial projects, development of culture.

DL: What people expect from an esteemed designer such as yourself?

MG : To wish a better future for them.

DL: Which design projects gave you the most satisfaction, why?

MG : Public projects.

DL: Where do you think the design field is headed next?

MG : Connection of the brain and the software, observing the imagination on the screen.

DL: How long does it take you to finalize a design project?

MG : Not clear.

DL: When you have a new design project, where do you start?

MG : defining the principles.

DL: Do you think design sets the trends or trends set the designs?

MG : I ponder and i design.

DL: What is the role of technology when you design?

MG : My tool is designing. i will use any tools it can help me to reach goal.

DL: What is the role of the color, materials and ambient in design?

MG : Specifically, I just sketch.

DL: When you see a new great design or product what comes into your mind?

MG : How to inspire from them in my design.

DL: Which people you interacted had the most influence on your design?

MG : Every one,specially my colleagues and clients

DL: How did you develop your skills as a master designer?

MG : permanent creation.

DL: How do you feel about all the awards and recognition you had, is it hard to be famous?

MG : definitely

DL: What makes your day great as a designer, how do you motivate yourself?

MG : dreams becoming true.

DL: When you were a little child, was it obvious that you would become a great designer?

MG : No, I was just eager to build something.

DL: What do you think about future; what do you see will happen in thousand years from now?

MG : i hope More humane and Sweeter world for future.

DL: Please tell us anything you wish your fans to know about you, your design and anything else?

MG : Through my work, i develop contextualism in iran.
