DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

LY : I studied interior design in Pratt institute in New York

DL: What motivates you to design in general, why did you become a designer?

LY : I love interesting culture, space, color and create a design.

DL: Did you choose to become a designer, or you were forced to become one?

LY : I choose to become a designer

DL: What do you design, what type of designs do you wish to design more of?

LY : Hospitality,and i wish to do more Hotel design

DL: What should young designers do to become a design legend like you?

LY : Practice! Practice! Practice!

DL: What distinguishes between a good designer and a great designer?

LY : good designer is design for someone else, a great designer is design for theirself

DL: What makes a good design a really good design, how do you evaluate good design?

LY : Time will prove it

DL: What is the value of good design? Why should everyone invest in good design?

LY : Good design will Change your life

DL: What would you design and who would you design for if you had the time?

LY : a countryside school

DL: What is the dream project you haven’t yet had time to realize?

LY : design for the people who need it the most in the world

LY : Never thought about it

LY : Life experience

LY : Same space but different decoration to present the different life stlye

LY : My best friend's project , they support us with no condition

DL: What would you like to see changed in design industry in the coming years?

LY : i wish china have more their own brand, not just copy someone else

DL: How long does it take you to finalize a design project?

LY : 1-2 years

DL: When you have a new design project, where do you start?

LY : Research first

LY : Life was like a box of chocolates.You never know what you're gonna get.

LY : Ergonomics
