Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Bien Seramik Design Team ("BSDT") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.

DL: Could you please tell us a bit about your design background and education?

BSDT : I graduated fine arts faculty of Marmara University. My backround is nature of the world.

DL: What motivates you to design in general, why did you become a designer?

BSDT : I am taking motivates to design from the famous great designers. I become the designer because, when you prepare the new designs, you feel first looking the new thinks to all over the world of window...

DL: Did you choose to become a designer, or you were forced to become one?

BSDT : I choosen to become a designer.

DL: What do you design, what type of designs do you wish to design more of?

BSDT : I am doing bathroom and Wall Tiles elements designs. But I am thinking of battle plane designs now.

DL: What should young designers do to become a design legend like you?

BSDT : They must work too much for a good designer. Also they must follow all trends, competitions, fashions and history of art.

DL: What distinguishes between a good designer and a great designer?

BSDT : Good designer is a make self motivated designs. Gereat designer knows all standarts and manufacturing for global designs.

DL: What makes a good design a really good design, how do you evaluate good design?

BSDT : Producible is very important for a good design. Must be Aesthetic, technical drawing, mould knowledge for all Designers.

DL: What is the value of good design? Why should everyone invest in good design?

BSDT : Today, every companies have similar machinery equipments, similar workforce, similar materials, also capitals. What must difference... Difference is a Good Design... If you should invest a good design, you are the good mark and good seller...

DL: What is the dream project you haven’t yet had time to realize?

BSDT : Surprise... You will see next year...

DL: What is your secret recipe of success in design, what is your secret ingredient?

BSDT : A lot of work...

DL: Who are some other design masters and legends you get inspired from?

BSDT : Zaha Hadid

DL: If you hadn’t become a designer, what would you have done?

BSDT : Maybe become a fisherman.

DL: How does design help create a better society?

BSDT : Green designs every time best solutions for the society. Environmentalist designs save the world every time.

DL: Which design projects gave you the most satisfaction, why?

BSDT : My Lotus design gave me most satisfaction. Lotus flower changed my mind for my bathroom idea. Because this flower used the bathroom for the first time.

DL: How long does it take you to finalize a design project?

BSDT : One week enough for me.

DL: Which books you read had the most effect on your design?

BSDT : Neufert is a good book for a designer.

DL: What is your favorite color, place, food, season, thing and brand?

BSDT : Fish and Pizza

DL: What makes your day great as a designer, how do you motivate yourself?

BSDT : Maybe, I find good idea for a good design, today...
